There are no ‘fictions’ in stricto sensu within Ingaramo’s works in the sense that his writings are very fragmentary, working at many narrative levels and having more than one plot going on at the same time. Therefore when we are reading his ‘fictions’ we have the impression of exploring a document, a record of a particular period which, at the same time provides a description/construction, and questions the validity and premises of it. It is like an epistemological exercise under the form of a fictitious narration. And this is why, we believe, Ingaramo was so keen to place all questions about writing as questions also about language, about concepts and naming. Ingaramo was convinced that thinking should be understood as an ‘artistic’ domain were language is a problem that cannot be established in general but be worked out each time at local level. His work Constitucion (1994) is perhaps one of the best examples that we can find among his works.
